History and Origin
Yorkshire Terriers originated in England during the 19th century. Originally bred to catch rats in textile mills, these small yet feisty dogs quickly captured hearts as fashionable companions. They owe their name to the English county of Yorkshire, where the breed was refined and standardized.
Physical Characteristics
