Maverick
Maverick is a sweet, beautiful little Yorkshire Terrier that is registered AKC. He was born 2/17/2024. We planned on keeping Maverick for our breeding program, but have decided against it. What is the best food for my dog or pup?

There are so many opinions related to dog food. I have tried it all. I started using and feeding Raw. I am sure Raw is much better for our babies, but it was expensive and my dogs might eat it or not. It was a freeze dried raw, although I tried actual raw meat also but that is time consuming and expensive also. I then proceeded to try other dry dog food aka kibble. I have tried many brands and the one my dogs really like is Proplan Purina Lamb and Rice Puppy.

Most good breeder’s brushes puppies’ hair and does minor grooming prior to the puppy going home to it’s Fur ever home. I especially try to keep the butt area shaved. I also trim around their eyes because the hair sometimes is long and pokes them in the eye and then the eye drains and you get tear stains. Sometimes I shave their bellies, especially little boys that sometimes leaks a little and gets on their belly hair. Once your new puppy comes home it is a good idea to continue brushing their hair daily. Another item that gets missed at times is brushing the dogs teeth.
